How can I tell my story on the podcast?

Easy! Just go to the Share Your Story page and fill out your info: who you are, who you met, the short version of the story, and how to reach you. Yes, you need to click the disclaimer box before you submit, but don’t worry. When we talk about editing the interview for time and content, we’ll never change the meaning of what you’ve said. That’s a promise. And, of course, we want you to promise that you’re telling us a true story, because it’s (almost) never fun to meet lawyers.
Once you’ve submitted, we’ll get back to you by email about scheduling an interview. Submitting a request doesn’t guarantee that you’ll be on the podcast, but we hope you’ve got a great story to tell!
How will we record the interview?

Zoom is our preferred method of recording, since it offers an easy option for recording video. (And having video provides us with more options for promoting your episode!)
If you don’t have Zoom or would prefer that we don’t record video, we can use alternate options like Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, or WeChat.
We’ll make those arrangements when the time comes, don’t worry. Oh, and keep in mind that, for many of you, we’re on the opposite side of the world (China Standard Time), so we’ll have to figure out a time that works for both of us.
I have aN AWESOME story, but i don’t want my parents / boss / significant other / pet llama to know about it. do i have to use my name?

When you contact us to share your story, we need you to provide us with your full name and contact info, for obvious reasons. On the podcast, though, you can choose to use your first name only, or you can use an alias if you like.
And hey, it’s awesome that you’ve got a pet llama! Michael Jackson would be proud!
why are there different types of episodes? And what are they?

Another excellent question. We understand that your time is valuable, so we want you to be able to enjoy the podcast in different ways. That’s why there are different types of episodes, as follows:
1) Singles: These are short episodes released on weekdays. One guest, one celebrity, one story, without a big time commitment.
2) Extended Remixes: These episodes, released on Saturdays, combine the previous week’s five episodes into a longer podcast, so you can catch up with a week’s worth at once. As a bonus, Extended Remixes will generally contain additional material not heard on the short Singles episodes.
3) LPs: Sometimes, we’ll come across somebody who’s got a lot of great stories to tell. They might even be celebrities themselves! In that case, we’ll do a long-form interview filled with plenty of terrific tales. Those will be released on an occasional basis; the best way to know when they’re released is to subscribe to the podcast or follow our social media pages!
you want to hear stories about celebrity encounters, but Who counts as a celebrity?

Ooh, that’s a really good question! It could be an actor, a musician, a TV personality, an athlete, a supermodel, a radio star (who hasn’t been killed by video, of course), a famous online influencer, an author, a politician*… really, anybody who a person with an average knowledge of pop culture would know about.
One of the judges on “America’s Got Talent”? Sure. One of the judges on “Billings, Montana’s Got Talent”? Probably not.
Really, it’s a judgment call. If in doubt, share the story! We’ll do the research and make a decision.
*If you want to talk about a politician, please, let’s stick to the story and leave the politics out of it. Our goal is to make this a podcast that everybody can enjoy, free from the conflict that usually accompanies political talk these days.

Are there any types of stories i can’t tell on the podcast?
Glad you asked. Our goal here is to entertain, not to make headlines on TMZ. So we don’t want to tell stories that are overtly sexual in nature or make accusations of serious misconduct. In general, let’s try to avoid the NSFW stuff so that everybody can enjoy the podcast. Fair enough?
